Guided bird walks, salt marsh and beach
The Connecticut Audubon Society Coastal Center at Milford Point in Milford offers guided bird walks through salt marsh, sand dunes, coastal forest, and barrier beach habitats. Beginner birders are welcome, and the center loans binoculars if needed.

Walks take 2-3 hours on fairly flat terrain but with loose sand and little shade; bring good walking shoes and water.
The coast tends to be windy, so dress in layers and bring weather-appropriate clothing.
Bathrooms are available on site at the Coastal Center.
Bird walks may be cancelled due to bad weather; cancellations allow you to reschedule or receive a refund.
