The visitor center is open by appointment only; trails are open sunrise to sunset daily but check Facebook for seasonal closures and parking updates.
No on-site parking for general visitation; foot traffic only, so plan to arrive by other means or contact ahead.
Bring sturdy hiking boots, not flip-flops; the round-trip is about a mile but terrain is steep and rocky in places.
Guided canoe tours run spring through fall for certain age groups; call (845) 265-2601 or check the events page for age requirements and details.
Pack out all trash including glass containers, which are not allowed on trails; bring a reusable water bottle and plan for ticks, poison ivy, and occasional copperheads.
