Ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical
Darien School of Dance offers ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical classes for ages 2 through teens at the YWCA Darien/Norwalk, using the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum. The studio produces an annual Nutcracker performance and holds recitals throughout the year.
Indoor · Active · Rainy-day pick · Ages 2 through teens
Mom & Me classes let parents dance alongside 2- to 3-year-olds in a circle-time format with props and music.
All classes can be viewed on a lobby TV so parents can watch without being in the studio.
Four-year-olds in Pre-Ballet must be fully potty trained and able to participate without a parent present.
The annual Nutcracker production includes all registered dancers; auditions in October are informal and designed to find each child's best role.
