Drawing, painting, and sculpting classes
Hue Studio Arts in Rockville Centre offers weekly art classes for kids ages 5 and up, with instruction in drawing, painting, and sculpting; all materials are included in tuition, and classes run September through June with options to make up missed sessions.
Indoor · Active · Rainy-day pick · Ages 5 and up; tween and teen classes also available
Kids should wear clothes they don't mind getting paint or clay on; the studio urges students to leave favorite outfits at home.
A nut-free snack is provided each class, but you can pack your own as long as it's nut-free.
Wet canvases and large works in progress can stay at the studio between weekly sessions if labeled with your child's name.
Trial classes are available at low cost before committing to monthly tuition.
