Public skating and learn-to-skate classes
Iceland is an indoor ice skating rink in New Hyde Park offering public skating sessions, group learn-to-skate classes for ages 2 and up, private lessons, and ice hockey programs including house league and skill clinics.
Indoor · Active · Rainy-day pick · Ages 2 and up
Admission is required even if your child is taking a lesson; budget for both skate rental and class fees separately.
Group classes run Saturday and Sunday mornings in 7-week semesters; register at least 5 days before the start date.
Parents cannot step on the ice during children's lessons as it's a safety hazard and distraction.
Bring gloves, warm clothing, and a bicycle helmet; thin socks help skates fit snugly.
