Historic house tour and hands-on exhibits
Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center in Ridgefield preserves a c. 1713 Colonial house and four acres of grounds with period rooms, rotating interactive exhibits, and themed tours exploring local and national history from the colonial era through the early 20th century.
Indoor & outdoor · Rainy-day pick · Quiet-friendly · All ages welcome; child tickets (18 and under) available.
Hands-On History is the annual interactive exhibit where kids can touch and operate historic farm tools labeled with 'TRY ME' signs.
First Sunday of each month offers free admission and family activities in the Garden House like apple crafts and seasonal crafts.
The historic house requires a guided tour and has narrow stairs and tight spaces.
Gardens are free to explore dawn to dusk when not hosting private events; open year-round with seasonal plantings.
