Trails through forest, marsh, and pond
Marshlands Conservancy is a 147-acre native wildlife preserve in Rye with three miles of hiking trails across five distinct habitats: forest, meadow, salt marsh, shoreline, and pond. The trails wind through critical wildlife areas above Milton Harbor with chances to spot deer, turkeys, otters, and migratory birds.

Pick up a trail map at the Nature Center before heading out; trails access all five habitats and offer different vistas throughout the year.
Saturday nature programs include docent-led hikes, birding walks, and children's live animal programs; check the events calendar for scheduling.
Wear suitable clothing for terrain and weather; trails are open year-round sunrise to sunset.
Late May through early June, join a nighttime hike to see horseshoe crabs massing along the beaches.
