Ice skating lessons and public skating
Northwell Health Ice Center in East Meadow is the official practice facility of the New York Islanders with two NHL-size rinks. The center runs learn-to-skate and in-house hockey programs for kids ages 5–13, plus public skating sessions and hockey clinics.
Indoor · Active · Rainy-day pick · Ages 5–13 for in-house programs
In-house hockey programs require USA Hockey enrollment and a neck guard; register online before the season starts.
Public skating and learn-to-skate sessions run alongside competitive programs, so check the schedule to find drop-in times.
The facility is located in Eisenhower Park north of the Hempstead Turnpike, with detailed directions from major highways and airports on the website.
