Rail trail with Hudson River views
The Old Erie Path in Nyack is a 3.4-mile rail trail following the former Erie Railroad right-of-way, running from Depot Square through Sparkill with hard-packed dirt and gravel surfaces and views of the Hudson River and Governor Mario Cuomo Bridge.
Free · Outdoor · Quiet-friendly
Start from Depot Square parking lot for easy access to trail maps and the paved Joseph B. Clarke Rail Trail connection.
The Raymond G. Esposito Trail (1.1 miles, easy and flat) in South Nyack offers a shorter option.
Trail has washout sections and requires caution crossing roads without crosswalks at Orangeburg Rd, Highland Ave, Piermont Ave, and Main St.
Mountain bike recommended for the main Old Erie Path due to dirt and gravel surfaces with slight grade.
