Stargazing through 18-inch telescope
Sheep Hill Astronomical Association runs a public observatory in Boonton with an 18-inch telescope, hosting viewing nights on the third Friday of each month (weather permitting) where families can look through the scope at the night sky.
Free · Outdoor · Quiet-friendly
The observatory is located at the top of Ross Drive in Boonton; plan to arrive by 7:30 pm for the public viewing night.
The group arranges educational visits for organized groups; contact them directly to set up a visit with your school or homeschool group.
