Story times, coding clubs, and crafts
Silas Bronson Library in Waterbury offers story times, coding clubs, and crafts for kids alongside a full collection of books, ebooks, and movies. Weekly programs include toddler music sessions, picture-book story times, and hands-on activities; teens can join coding classes or gaming groups through Geekdom.
Free · Indoor · Rainy-day pick · Quiet-friendly · Programs for ages 2-18
Story times and drop-in programs don't require registration, but the library asks large groups to sign up at least a week ahead.
Picture Book Room hosts multiple weekly story times (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays mornings) so you have options if one day doesn't work.
KidZone Coding Club on Tuesday afternoons is free and welcoming to beginners ages 7-12.
The library runs themed seasonal events like Halloween (Mardi Gross & Waterbury Witch and Wizard Day in October) with crafts, games, and activities.
