Seine for fish, study river ecology
CURB is a Hudson River education and research center in Yonkers run jointly by Sarah Lawrence College and the Beczak Environmental Education Center, offering hands-on field science programs where kids seine for fish, examine water chemistry, and explore river ecology along the waterfront.
Free · Indoor & outdoor · Rainy-day pick · Ages 5+
Programs run year-round with seining season March through November; Friday volunteer seining sessions start at 1pm and take about an hour.
The center houses live native fish and rescue turtles that kids can observe up close during visits and programs.
