Woods, meadows, and lake loop trails
Tarrytown Lakes Park in Tarrytown has three new volunteer-built walking trails that loop through woods and open fields around the Upper and Lower Lakes, with access to birdwatching meadows and a two-mile wooded trail connecting to Glenville Woods Park Preserve.
Free · Outdoor · Quiet-friendly
The green-blazed trail is good for birdwatching and offers field exploration; start from the main parking lot or Wilson Park Drive lot.
The white-blazed trail from the pump house on Neperan Road is a two-mile one-way hike under forest canopy.
Trails are volunteer-maintained, so foot traffic helps keep them groomed; they are well-blazed but not yet on all maps.
