Butterfly and hummingbird viewing garden
The Beverly E Smith Butterfly and Hummingbird Garden is a peaceful, plant-filled sanctuary in the center of Lenoir Nature Preserve in Yonkers, designed to attract and support local butterfly and hummingbird species through native plantings and natural shelter.
Free · Outdoor · Quiet-friendly
The garden is open dawn to dusk year-round, with flat wood-chipped paths and benches for sitting and observing wildlife.
Park at the south end of Lenoir Nature Preserve (1109 N Broadway); paved paths lead from the parking area to the garden.
Best visiting during growing season (March-October) when butterflies and hummingbirds are most active.
