Touch artifacts in colonial home
The Hoyt-Barnum House in Stamford is a 1699 colonial residence, the oldest authentic house in town, relocated to High Ridge Road next to the Stamford History Center and filled with touchable 18th- and 19th-century artifacts and reproductions.
Indoor · Rainy-day pick · Quiet-friendly
The house contains reproduction items and artifacts kids can touch, making it more interactive than a typical museum.
The house was moved to its current location in 2016 specifically to increase public accessibility.
